To coincide with the official launch of the GS1 managed Australian National Locations Register on the 8^th of December, Rack & Shelf Labels Australia is proud to announce that it is now a Business Alliance Partner of GS1 Australia.

GS1 is part of a worldwide network of GS1 organisations in over 100 countries and a global office based in Brussels, Belgium. As a member-based, not-for-profit organisation, it’s charter is to supply and manage barcode numbers, operate and manage supply chain standards in accordance with the global GS1 system and to provide related solutions and services to it’s members.

Following the findings of a steering committee that included the Australian Government, changes are being proposed to significantly improve global supply chain standards and capabilities with the implementation of Global Location Numbers and Electronic Product Code Information Services. Rack & Shelf Labels’ Business Alliance Partnership with GS1 emphasises our commitment to remain at the forefront of the constantly evolving barcode related standards that underpin the Supply Chain Industry.
